Biomedical Device Security Taskforce

This team-oriented taskforce seeks to build collaboration between the diverse departments within a healthcare system that face the challenge of securing biomedical devices. Healthcare systems and manufacturers are invited to send their entire biomedical device team to participate and develop action plans for improving their own safety protocol.

Membership within the Biomedical Device Security Taskforce is available to NCHICA members from IT Security, Clinical Engineering, Procurement, Legal/Risk and Compliance, Biomedical Device Manufacturers. Virtual meetings are held quarterly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1:00pm – 2:00pm beginning February 2020.

NCHICA has created a collaborative organization that no other State has achieved. It includes vendors, providers, payers, physicians, nurses, clinicians, attorneys, information technologists and other professionals, working together to improve healthcare within North Carolina in every way, from the use of technology, to public policy considerations, to patient privacy, and more. Belonging to, and participating in, this organization helps you to not only keep up with the changing healthcare environment, but to have some influence on those changes.
